I've made it through years of physical pain and on the really bad days, I keep reminding myself that what I'm feeling is insignificant to His experience. Pain is “a blessing and a curse”. It forces you to continue the fight to exist and it gives a little bit of courage to do that fight. If Jesus slowed his breath and fooled even his most ardent followers to give His message meaning, hope, and an instrument for eternity, that speaks of love most profound.

That sounds very rough. Sorry to hear that. Stay strong. I think in those moments of pain he realized many things. He wasn’t the type of person to depend on God to bring him back to life. He went through life not from a life of privilege. He made things happen himself for the most part. If there is one message I get from Jesus is that, “love”.

The missing years bit completely snagged me... of course my brain went straight to what shaped him in all that silence... I get why you had to write this. Am weirdly fond of the calm pulse running through the whole piece, Leo-chan.

Thank you Asuka-sama. The calm tone is important, I’m glad you notice that.

Rev Myra Brown at Spiritus Christi in Rochester NY reminded us that we are a resurrection people, not a crucifixion people. And when you’re living The Way with Jesus, it’s like the old spiritual song says, “ain’t no grave gonna keep my body down.”

I like that saying.

Here is my take . Easter on a personal level is a reminder that we can pick ourselves up and move forward and that any pain and anguish that let us there is a thing of the past. I find the whole resurrection of a body entirely absurd and it is right up there with the Immaculate Conception as lies the masses have been taught to accept as truths. I'm not trying to damper the genuine feeling that Easter brings to people. It's a feeling of hope a feeling that we can all rise from whatever condition we are that might be weighing us down. But in the end believing in events that are physically impossible and attributing there occurence to God and his Son allows people to be lied to by others besides religious clergy and people. It's easy to see how easily misled people are by politicians. They already have a trained community of people who can ignore logic when promised things that are obviously almost impossible to achieve and who will look the other way when these promises do not come to fruition. Anyways Happy Easter and I hope that with it this nation begins to awaken and use rational thinking rather than blind acceptance of dogma as the means of navigating through life's challenges .

This is why I interpreted this story the way I did. I wanted it to make sense to myself. I also don’t want to write off anyone else’s beliefs. They tell us the bible is up to our own interpretation and this is what I’ve done. I agree with you, these teachings need to be obtainable to everyone. That was the point of dying for our sins and opening the door to heaven for all of us. That it was meant to be obtainable.

It’s a shame that we all have certain amounts of free will. He died for us, yet men fight just to say that they have 😞
