I’ve had almost every vice as a crutch at some point. The only thing that shuts up the brains contant squawking for more is meditation, trying to separate from that voice, that the only thing that has worked for me…but even that takes discipline.
I am the same way. I have an addictive personality. But yet have been able to quit many things. Things like doomscrolling and coffee. I quit coffee for 6 months and came back. I just love it so much. I like to overeat certain things. Fasting is great for this kind of reset. I did a 3 day recently. now I’m doing a candida diet for last month. I love meditation, I do this daily. mini meditations that time allows.
Wait... the bag clip having absolutely fake authority made me laugh way too knowingly..! 🤣 I’m sorry but I know that little lie, Leo-chan, the whole I’ll save some for later performance before the packet becomes a crime scene...
I too am a savory salty creamy cheesy buttery crunchy kind of gal. I’ll skip the sweets… I don’t even like fruit. EXCEPT chocolate (darker the better). Love me my Dark Italian coffee. (I’d probably go for a dark Italian man too if he could cook…. But I digress).
Anywhoooooo. There are restaurants in trendy parts of Southern California that offer a glp1 menu. Basically smaller portions.
With fresh food prices skyrocketing, soon the exorbitant cost of GLP1s will be offset by eating less of exorbitantly priced food.
(and coffee…. Dude have u seen the price of good quality Italian roast??)
Sady I can’t do dairy so no cheese or cream for me. I have gotten hooked on tahini as my favorite condiment. drizzled over a salad with some salt over top. Butter quality is important. I found the stash of French butter not intended for civilians. They just sell it in the open.
The GLP menu is interesting. but totally makes sense. Food will always follow dietary trends.
Coffee is essential. I find locally roasted coffee mostly.
My new guilty pleasure is a sourdough English muffin. Spread with a bit of butter and VEGEMITE! Yup I’m weird. Savory salty tangy. But I’m going to try tahini on a muffin or toast. With my DARK ITALIAN.
Amazing analysis of the trend - have I lost my mind?! No — it's everything all at once! You can have your cake and eat it too. I wonder what the insides of our bodies are adapting to these days.
No worries. It happens to all of us. I always have a lot of notifications and it will always happen. My laptop doesn’t have auto-correct for some reason. I’m spoiled for not having the capitalize.
As much a dc I would love to drop 20 pounds, I can't see using izemp i c or any other quick fix. I have we to do it by cutting out the junk food I eat daily. Big change but I feel it is worth it. More organic fruits and veggies, more nuts, seeds, peanut butter! Almond butter.
Yes I agree. It has a lot to do with what you don’t eat. Sadly most people eat a lot of ultra processed junk. Real food isn’t in some peoples diet. I absolutely love tahini with salt over top as a lazy salad dressing. It’s my favorite. Some genius put their tahini in a squeeze bottle and still kept it the same size. It’s brand with white bottle and orange cap. No more tahini mess.
Great article, I was surprised how many conservatives I know who are overweight and wouldn’t even get a Covid vaccine jumped on board the Glp-1 train. Do we really know what the long term effects of these drugs are?
I’m not sure. The long term effects could be anything. It really depends who told them to take this and not take that. We can all be swayed if they wave the right carrot in our face.
I was on Ozempic for 2 years per my diabetic drs recommendation. It messed up my food motility so badly that even being off of it for a year, I still have problems.

That bag clip is just for show. I’ve once left A half dozen crumbs in a bag just to make my bag clip purchase worth it.
I can’t get your article
Oh no, what do you mean can’t get? is there a problem with the link. sorry just seeing this now
I found it very informative. Not that I didn’t know most of that, but that you made me feel like I was right in believing it.
Sometimes you have to trust your gut.
It makes me wonder if there is an uptick in the clothing industry with all the weight loss.
This would be a thing. People happy with their new found confidence. Likely to overspend. Buying new wardrobe. I could almost guarantee it.

I want to try Vegemite again. I feel it would go great with tahini. I use it like peanut butter sometimes. Enjoyed with a dark Italian is always gone.

It’s scary how much our bodies put up with. You think with all the medical advances people would be healthier.
Sorry about typing mistakes, sprained 👏

I agree with your assessment.

Thank you for sharing Mary. Sorry to hear that. I hope it clears up.
It won't. It's irreversible . Just have to adapt the best that I can. Thank you for your concern

Not alone. we are all human after all.
